Is a Police Check Necessary?

A police check means that a Pet Sitter has a certificate (in the UK it is called a Disclosure) stating that they do not have any criminal convictions.

You can ask a pet sitter for a copy of their certificate before making your booking, your Account Manager can assist with this if required.

We encourage all Pet Sitters to obtain a police check, but this is not compulsory to join our community.

Police checks don’t have an official expiry date and it’s up to the owner to decide if they accept it or not.
