My family has always had pets, ranging from your normal cat and dog to your unusual goose, donkey, and goat. I have grown up with animals, taking care of my parents' 12 dogs at a very young age.

I am a non-smoking female and a semi-retired teacher/part-time travel writer who is very experienced with taking care of homes, apartments and most pets including cats and dogs of all sizes and also birds including older pets and those requiring medications. I/we (when my spouse joins me) have excellent references on three pet-sitting sites. My strengths include experience in various homes with a variety of responsibilities, maturity, kindness, level-headedness, knowledge of first aid, a strong sense of responsibility, a police background check (as required for my position as a teacher) and excellent references as a caretaker, pet sitter and guest in your home.
