A police check means that a Pet Sitter has a certificate stating that they do not have any criminal convictions. Before you book your pet holiday care, you can ask your pet sitter for a copy of their certificate when you make your booking.
We encourage all Pet Sitters to obtain a police check, but this is not compulsory to join our community. If a Pet Sitter does have a police check it will be stated on their profile page.
Police checks don’t have an official expiry date and it’s up to the owner to decide if they accept it or not.
